French Open Day 3 Best Bets
Today’s Picks:
Musetti vs Tsitsipas (Roland Garros, Tennis)
Pick: Musetti Handicap +8 Games @ 1.83
Here we have probably the most valuable bet that I’ve seen at Roland Garros until this point and let me tell you why…
We all know that Tsitsipas is one of the best players in the circuit at clay tournaments specially with these slow conditions just like he was in Rome and Monte Carlo and I don’t see him losing here but he’s currently priced at 1.08 which is pretty much a “walk in the park” type of matchup which I couldn’t disagree more with.
Lorenzo Musetti is a 20 year old prodigy who’s going to be a great player in the near future if he wants to since he’s one of the most technically gifted guys that I’ve seen from this new generation of tennis players. He only lacks mental composure which makes him lose some of his matches but his clay season has been going well and it’s also his best surface so I believe he can at least pull up a fight and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him winning one set.
This game handicap is so huge that even if he loses 3-0 by 6-4/6-3/6-4 we get our handicap covered and in my opinion this handicap would only be fairly priced around +5.5 or +6.
Rublev A. vs. Kwon S.
Kwon to take a set @ [2.50]
This season has been an on and off for Soonwoo. He has stolen a few sets from great names including Alcaraz and Rublev. In 2022 he is 7-6 on clay. On the other hand Rublev has had a good start to the season, but came to a shocking loss to Krajinović in Rome, where Rublev only took 6 gems (all on his own serve) in two very short sets. After seeing some of the matches where heavy favourites were struggling, this bet is a no brainer for me.
Other Picks:
Humbert +2.5 Rune +2.5 Sousa +2.5 for -123.
Reasoning: Ruusuvuori has zero mental game so the French crowd can win a set by themselves if they want. Shapovalov is insane and Sousa will win a set.
The French Open, also known as Roland-Garros, is a major tennis tournament held over two weeks at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France, beginning in late May each year. The tournament and venue are named after the French aviator Roland Garros.
