NBA Picks Who Wins
Tonight’s picks:
Grizzlies vs Warriors
Pick #1: Warriors 1H +0.5 – I’m heavy on the Warriors tonight. They’re the superior team and I think they should be favoured by around 4.5 points. Find it interesting that Warriors are getting points for half but are -2 favourites for the game. That’s because they’re a 3rd quarter team, but like last night’s game Suns/Mavs game, I expect the Warriors to get off to a faster start and maintain a good lead throughout the game. This Warriors team is impossible to stop; Klay and Steph go cold and Poole goes off, Steph and Poole go cold, Klay goes off, etc. Just way too many shooters to stop for the Grizzlies and I don’t think they can hang around. Lots of people will be on the Grizz because they’re home and assume they’ll bounce back, but the Grizzlies played well in Game 1 and even that wasn’t enough.
Pick #2: Warriors -2 – This is a gift, and if you’re only going to make one pick tonight, this should be it. Maybe Grizzlies can hang around for the 1H, but I don’t think they can keep up with this Warriors team for the full game. I expect the Warriors to win by 4+, and wouldn’t be surprised if they win by double digits.
Pick #3: Grizzlies 1Q UNDER 29.5 – this is too high a line in my opinion. It’s this high because Grizzlies went off in Game 1 1Q, but I don’t think that’ll happen again tonight. In the first round, Grizzlies scored below this number in 4 out of the 6 games, and the Wolves’ defence is worse.
Celts vs Bucks
Bucks +5. Bucks played a great defensive game as they held the Celtics to 33% shooting and made them take 50 3 point attempts. Brown and Tatum (early on) were bad Game 1, but I do expect a rebound. Despite winning by double digits, the Bucks didn’t shoot all that well either. I expect the Celtics to try more ways to open up attacking the inside. Tatum and Brown should have better games. Even if they do, I think the Bucks will keep it close to cover the spread.
