The US Open Tennis Championships is a hardcourt tennis tournament held annually in Queens, New York. Since 1987, the US Open has been chronologically the fourth and final Grand Slam tournament of the year. The other three, in chronological order, are the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon.

Casper Ruud vs Karen Khachanov, 8.05pm GMT
Ruud (1st Set Winner) @1/1
We believe Ruud will take the first set in this matchup. He’s got the better defence for his opponent. and we personally think he’s just an all around better player. Yes, Khachanov is good and has some solid serves behind him, with a wicked track record to boot. but he’s a 6ft 6 slow moving beast. that’s just not an ideal height to run with 6ft 1 Ruud, if he can pull it together and defend well the first set should easily go to Ruud, there’s no reason this shouldn’t hit, let’s get this show on the road.

Carlos Alcaraz vs Frances Tiafoe, 12.05am GMT
Both Players To Win a Set @1/2
Assuming Alcaraz is still playing close to around 80% of his best, Frances Tiafoe will still have enough in the tank on serve to keep things very competitive. Despite the kick he gets on it though, a few second-serves here or there could be costly as Alcaraz will likely punish this shot with flatter returns than Rafael Nadal in the fourth-round. Match-up and fatigue considered, Alcaraz should be too much for Tiafoe.
