Knockout Boxing Picks
The main event of the card, of course, is David Benavidez (25-0, 22 KO) taking on David Lemieux (43-4, 36 KO) in Saturday’s Showtime offering. The two are fighting for the interim WBC super middleweight title, and that’s our biggest focus.
Should be a good fight. Lemieux moving up to super middleweight, Benavidez weighed in at 166.4, Lemieux 166.2
Benavidez claims he’s coming for a knockout. Any phone booth fight with Lemieux is a risk as he has extreme power even at 168. GGG jabbed Lemieux to wear him out and then went for the kill and brutalized him with shots. Benavidez will need that patience to wear down Lemieux and watch his power early. Should be an easy win for Benavidez.
On the off chance Lemieux land the big left odds of 10/1 may be tempting, but were not convinced.
Our Picks:
David Benavidez In Rounds 5-8 @6/4 (Seems great value)
