The Portuguese Grand Prix is a motorsports event held for several years, mostly in the 1950s and then in the 1980s and 1990s. It is due to be revived in 2020 for a one-off, with the location changing from Lisbon to Algarve.
This will be the first F1 GP in Portugal for 24 Years the last been in 1996.
Our Picks:
Lewis Hamilton @2/5
Well Possibly the best F1 driver in history could make history this weekend by passing the great Michael Schumacher’s 91 victory’s which he equalled in Germany last time out, Hamilton is also closing in on another world championship, so if fine form we feel he will be unbeatable (Mechanical Melt Down Aside)
Sergio Perez @9/2 Podium Finish
“It’s always more of a challenge to race on a new circuit for the first time. I hope it can help mix things up and make for an exciting race for the fans.”
In his own words his excited and we think he will be in the mix, and at 50/1 to Win maybe he could be a value outside bet.
Charles Leclerc @14/1 Podium Finish
Scuderia Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc previews the next round of the 2020 Formula 1 season, the Portuguese Grand Prix:
“I’ve raced just the once at Portimão, in 2015 in Formula 3. From what I remember, it’s great fun to drive with a lot of climbs and drops. It’s a modern and interesting circuit and the weather should be a lot warmer than at the last race in Germany.
It will be interesting to check the handling of our car on all the different types of corners with higher temperatures.” Charles Leclerc concluded.
