Date: Nov 10–13, 2022

The Cadence Bank Houston Open is a professional golf tournament in Texas on the PGA Tour, played in November. As a part of a restructuring of the schedule, the event moved to the fall in 2019.

This week takes us to Houston Texas for the cadence bank Houston open. This tournament has had a number of different names through the years, but has always been played at memorial park golf course, a muni course (seriously) that can be converted for pros. The course is old, but underwent a redesign recently with Brooksie Boepka serving as the advisor.

Notionally, this course is on the longer side, playing par 70 at 7,412 yards. There are definitely some longer holes here, like the 522 yard opening par 4, and a 625 yard par 4. Data golf seems to think the course plays closer to 7000 yards. There isn’t going to be a ton of scoring here, and the last few years a score of -13 to -15 has been good enough to win.

You might think that because of the length the bombers would have an advantage here – but that certainly hasn’t been the case with the winners the last few years, and the leader boards are full of all different types of profiles.

Our Picks: (Most Firms Paying 6+ Places)

Scottie Scheffler @6/1

Scottie is almost certainly going to be the favorite here. He tied for 2nd last year, and is clearly out for blood after his awesome final round last week. He’s going back to his native Texas and gunning to reclaim world #1.

Sam Burns @10/1

Sam burns has two straight years with a t7 finish. He will probably come in behind Scottie or right at the same level.

Russell Henley @18/1

Russell Henley won here in 2017 and keeps finding himself at the top of the leader-board at this event, he has momentum and could finish strong once again.

Aaron Wise @14/1, is another jack of all trades type who could excel here. Solid finish last week, let’s see if he keeps it up.
