Conor Benn to win by KO @ 2/5
Conor Benn to beat Chris Van Heerden in round 4 @ 8/1
Benn, who holds the WBA Continental title, is confident a world title belt is in his future, but he is not ready to risk everything and take fights he is not ready for. The 25-year-old is happy to move up the rankings – he is ranked fifth by the WBA, WBO and IBF and 10th by The Ring magazine. He knows he has time on his side, and he is happy to learn on the job.
Unfortunately, we cannot see Van Heerden living with Benn. Once the Destroyer is in the zone, he is difficult to get on top of. Benn has won 13 fights by way of knockout. His last win saw him knock out Chris Algieri in the fourth round, and we am backing Benn to do the same in Manchester. Back Benn to claim a knockout win in the fourth, but expect Van Heerden to hit the canvas a couple of times before the fight is finally stopped.
