NBA MVP Who Will Be Basketball’s Star Of The Season, Preview and Betting Picks

Who Will Be NBA MVP

We’re getting to the juicy stage of the season. I’m watching this market like a hawk. It’s at a pivotal stage where Embiid/Jokic are about 45/45 and then Giannis is a 10% chance if the first two implode.

The best indicator is always the straw poll run by Tim Bontemps. This was last done in mid February and Embiid was narrowly favoured – key word narrowly.

Since then I feel Jokic has put up the more impressive numbers and their teams are pretty even in terms of success. I feel the “+” odds on Jokic present value for what is essentially a coin flip.

I believe a new straw poll is imminent. Does anyone know when this will be??

Our thoughts on betting predictions as we approach the final stretch of the season are here.

Also congrats Morant/Mobley/Herro backers. Trophies are already being engraved with their names on it.

Joel Embiid @1/2 – Clear Favourite in the betting but will he keep up to this level for the remainder of the season, were not so sure.

Nikola Jokic @6/4 – Up there with Embiid and looking strong, offers more value but again can he keep pushing at this stage of a long season.

Stephen Curry @33/1 – A massive outsider at the moment but been one of our favourite players this season. Is it too late to make a final push for MVP glory?

The above picks are our likes but our prediction and favourite to take the MVP crown is:

Giannis Antetokounmpo @8/1 – Consistent and with speed and ball-handling skills we think he could be a bit of a shock winner, his called The Greek Freak for a reason.
