The Football Association Challenge Cup, more commonly known as the FA Cup, is an annual knockout football competition in men’s domestic English football. First played during the 1871–72 season, it is the oldest national football competition in the world. It is organised by and named after The Football Association.
Matches will take place on the weekend of Friday 18 March to Monday 21 March. The Semi-Finals will then take place at Wembley.
All FA Cup quarter-final matches will have 30 minutes of extra time if it is a draw after 90 minutes. If still level Penalties will take place as replays were scrapped in 2016.
The Draw
- Crystal Palace vs Everton
- Nottingham Forest or Huddersfield vs Liverpool
- Middlesbrough vs Chelsea
- Southampton vs Manchester City
Middlesbrough will have to pull off a third giant killing as they host Chelsea, after already taking Manchester United and Tottenham’s scalps we fancy Middlesbrough to carry on there impressive run.
If Nottingham Forest get past Huddersfield they will be a tough opponent for Liverpool after taking out current holders Leicester in the last round.
We see a Palace win over Everton based purely on form and home advantage.
Southampton vs Manchester City will be maybe the match of the round with both teams been in very impressive form, this could end in a shoot-out.
