The Italian Grand Prix is the fifth oldest national Grand Prix, having been held since 1921. In 2013 it became the most held Grand Prix. It is one of the two Grands Prix which has run as an event of the Formula One World Championship Grands Prix every season, continuously since the championship was introduced in 1950.

F1’s new ‘sprint qualifying’ format will return with no changes or tweaks this weekend at Monza.
F1 chiefs Stefano Domenicali and Ross Brawn, and most of the drivers and teams, declared the debut at Silverstone of the format that is being trialled this year as an overwhelming success.
However, the usefulness of the practice session between Friday qualifying and the Saturday sprint was called into doubt as pointless.
“According to the regulations, we’re not allowed to change anything on the car after qualifying,” said championship leader Max Verstappen.
“So what is the use of the other practice session? That doesn’t matter anymore.”
However, Formula 1 race director Michael Masi says the second trial of sprint qualifying ahead of the Italian GP this weekend will run with exactly the same routine.
“There will not be be any changes,” he said at Zandvoort.
Our Predictions:
Lewis Hamilton, Win @11/10
We expect Hamilton to take back control after his loss in the Dutch GP last weekend.
Max Verstappen, Podium @2/7
After taking his home GP by storm and claiming top spot in the championship, one week later we think Max will be bought back down to earth.
Lando Norris, Podium @5/2
Starting to build a consistent reputation we think Norris will only get better.
