The women’s long jump event at the 2020 Summer Olympics is scheduled to take place on 1 and 3 August 2021 at the Japan National Stadium.

Our Picks:

Lorraine Ugen (GBR) to Win a Medal @6/1

Lorraine Ugen is a long jumper and occasional 100 m sprinter with respective personal bests of 7.05 m and 11.32s. Ugen competed for Great Britain in Rio at the 2016 Olympics in the long jump where she secured her spot as an Olympic finalist finishing eleventh overall. 5 years on she will be looking to go one step further and take a medal, what we believe she is more than capable of.

Britney Reese (USA) @5/2 Fav for Gold

Brittney Davon Reese is the stand out long jumper here, Olympic gold medalist, and a seven-time world champion. Reese is the indoor American record holder in the long jump with a distance of 7.23 meters. If she brings her A-game we could see a new world record here.

Malaika Mihambo (GER) @10/3 For Gold

Malaika Mihambo is a German athlete, and the current world champion in long jump, She comes here in fine form and in a field filled with Americans we think the 27yo will break up the party. With a PB of 7.30m she will be a very competitive competitor.
