With the final Manic Monday over we look at day 8 and the Ladies Quarter-Finals.

Karolina Pliskova vs Viktorija Golubic, 1pm GMT

Eighth seed Karolina Pliskova has been clinical at the 2021 Championship so far, winning all four of her matches in straight sets. None of those sets even went to a tie-breaker, with the toughest test coming in the first round where she beat Tamara Zidansek 7-5, 6-4.

Switzerland’s Viktorija Golubic, meanwhile, has also created history of her own. The 28-year-old has made it to the first Major quarter-final of her career, beating 23rd seed Madison Keys on Monday to reach the last eight.

Our Pick: Pliskova 2-0 @6/5

Karolina Muchova vs Angelique Kerber, 2pm GMT

Following a title run in the Bad Homburg Open last week Kerber had her first WTA singles trophy since the Wimbledon 2018, the German has done well to carry her excellent form over the week here in London. Her most recent victim was the American teenager Cori Gauff, whom Kerber dispatched in the fourth round with 6-4, 6-4 victory.

24-year-old Karolina Muchova is one win away from reaching her second Grand Slam semi-final of the season. Earlier in the year, she reached the same stage in the Australian Open (beating Ash Barty and Karolina Pliskova on the way) to deliver her best major performance. But we find it hard to see her topping that here.

Our Pick: Kerber Win @4/6

Ons Jabeur vs Aryna Sabalenka, 2.30pm GMT

This should be an entertaining quarter-final between world number four Sabalenka and number 24 Jabeur with both players reaching the last eight of a Grand Slam for the first time. Sabalenka is the second seed here and is finally playing like it after a nervy few matches here, and her three-set victory over 18th seed Elena Rybakina was finally convincing. However, 26-year-old Ons Jabeur’s roll call of defeated opponents now reads five-time Wimbledon champion Venus Williams, two-time Grand Slam champion Garbine Muguruza and world number nine Iga Swiatek, one of the favourites for the title, after a three-set thriller on Monday. The Tunisian fought back masterfully from one set down to Swiatek, who won Roland-Garros last season and had not yet dropped a set, in very much the same way she beat Muguruza on Friday in front of a impressed Centre Court.

Our Pick: Total Sets 3 @11/8

Ashleigh Barty vs Ajla Tomljanovic, 4.30pm GMT

Ashleigh Barty will take on Ajla Tomljanovic in an all-Australian quarterfinal match on Tuesday. This is the first time since Wimbledon 1980 that two Aussie women will face each other in a Major quarterfinal.

Barty prevailed 6-3, 7-5 in her fourth-round encounter against fellow Roland Garros champion Barbora Krejcikova on Monday. Tomljanovic, meanwhile, overcame a valiant effort from young British wildcard Emma Raducanu, who was forced to retire down 6-4, 3-0 due to medical reasons.

If she remains fit and healthy, Barty is definitely one of the top contenders for the Venus Rosewater dish this year.

Our Pick: Barty 2-0 @4/7
